Fired Up and Ready to Go!

1992 Nissan Safari, 1992 Nissan Patrol

Picture this: the alarm sounds, you wake, get dressed, slide down the fireman pole into your very own fire truck! Sounds like every kids dream, right? It doesn’t have to be, I mean we can’t help with the fireman pole (or the early wake up) but we can help you get behind the wheel of something truly unique, wait until you see what has arrived at Davey!

Retired but Not Expired

Nissan Safari Fire Truck Side On

This 1992 Nissan Safari (also known as the Nissan Patrol in the Aussie market) is no ordinary 4WD. It’s a retired Japanese fire truck but don’t be fooled, it’s still

got a lot of life in it. We are just trying to give it the retirement it deserves.

From 1978 to 2005, the Safari was a go-to vehicle for Japanese fire departments. Why? its design, powerful engine and full-time four-wheel drive. Plus don’t forget, it looks amazing!

All the Sirens and Whistles

Let’s be honest, half the fun of owning your very own fire truck is the way it looks. That bold red paint, the emergency lights and eye catching shape, it turns heads wherever it goes. But the Nissan Safari isn’t just a visual statement. Underneath that striking exterior is a

Nissan Safari Hose and Pumpsfully functional setup, complete with working lights, sirens, and a PA system that lets you live out your inner fire chief dreams.

Powering it all is a robust 24-volt electrical system (unlike the standard 12V setup found in most vehicles) designed to reliably run all that emergency gear without breaking a sweat. This isn’t just for show, either. What truly sets this vehicle apart is its working water pump, operational and ready to impress. How are you lugging all that equipment around? The full time 4-wheel drive system powered by the TB4.2 petrol engine, with the strong build and axis of the Safari.

Is it fire truck or fire engine?

Still not convinced? We can’t answer questions like ‘Why is a fire truck red?’ Or ‘Will my wife approve of this?’ But what we can answer is ‘am I going to get another chance at a beauty like this?’ and the answer is, absolutely not! when a rare find like this rolls your way, you grab it with both hands, put on your firefighting gear and live the life you always dreamed of!
