How long does a car service take?
A minor service takes about 1-2 hours. If your vehicle needs further work done on it, the workshop team will let you know and arrange a time to get these sorted. If there are quick fixes, like light bulbs, fluids or windscreen wiper blades, they can normally be replaced during a standard service allotment.
How often should I service my car?
Either every 10,000km or every 12 months, whatever comes first. Your vehicle will have a manufacturer’s guidance on regular maintenance, as well as information on the replacement of big parts like cambelts.
How much does a car service cost?
This can vary, but a basic service can range from $200-$300. It’s a good idea to review different service packages and see what is included. Depending on your vehicle and other repair work you might have recently had done, you might not need a major service. A good example of this is if you have replaced tires and received a wheel alignment in the last 3 months; therefore you won’t need another as part of your service.
